Disposable diapers

Has the EPA ever considered stopping the manufacture of disposable diapers? If not, is there a green way of disposing them in place of putting them into landfills?

  1. NEXT STEP? Begin a cloth diaper cooperative. set it up as a multi-stakeholder (workers an users) coop. commit to eco-friendly methods. Advantages? Parents have fairly-priced fresh cloth diapers readily at hand for precious bums with no muss no fuss. And the workers washing out their kid's diapers are employed in a fair-wage, barrier-free, democratic workplace. THIS IS THE DECADE OF COOPS. interesting options abound... :)
