If we have to drill for oil...use organic means to clean spills.

In the Bakken Oil Fields, Oil companies are setting the stage by using nature to clean nature instead of using synthetic chemicals to clean up an organic matter (oil). When we look to nature for solutions to things that happen when we interrupt nature, we find the best case scenarios. The oil companies in the Bakken Oil fields should be commended for using innovative and sustainable means such as biotic soil amendments to clean up spills.     Sounds like it really works great on dry land. Something similar but not exactly the same would be needed for ocean spills. Maybe skim up as much of the oil as possible to take to the nearest refinery and then use a different suite of microbes on the residue.
